Sean Hyland 6.0 aluminum big bore block
Check this out. Sean Hyland has really stepped up to the plate with this block. We can all finally get some cubic inches out of our modular V8's... for a price. The 5.4L block can be ordered with a bore
size up to 3.75". This results in a displacement of 6.0L from the all aluminum block. Price? 3995.00 for the 4.6L version and 4495.00 for the 5.4L. Ya, we know, that price is crazy. But wait a minute, we can remember back in the 80's a Donovan all aluminum small block Chevy sold for over 4000.00 and that's
at 80's prices, couple that with the fact that it probably cost Sean Hyland motorsports 150,000.00
to develop this block and the price becomes a little more understandable. It's really intended for hard core racers and people with too much money anyways, but you know the saying, speed cost money how fast do you want to go?

2005 Mustang 3-valve engine revealed
From Blue Oval News come these spy photos of the 2005 Mustang 3-valve engines. This engine
features variable valve timing (finally), front facing throttle body, and drive by wire throttle. The 3-valve heads are already installed in 2004 5.4L F150 trucks. The 4.6L 3-valve engines are tentativly scheduled to be installed in Mustangs for the 2005 model year. The heads feature a centrally located sparkplug
and a claimed airflow improvement of 40%. They are also lighter and stronger than the 2-valve heads. It will be interesting to see the first performance applications of these engines. In the meantime follow
