Manley is the acknowledged leader of performance and racing valves in
the world. All Manley valves are 100% made in America. The Race series
valves shown here feature Manley's proprietary "Pro Flow" shape.
Through flow bench analysis this design has shown improvements in flow
over standard valves by up to 40%. These valves are a significant improvement
over stock. The DOHC heads flow quite well as is, these valves will allow
your heads to reach their maximum potential. |

| DOHC
Modular engines as they come from the factory do not have stainless valves.
The stock valves should be upgraded for performance use. Stock sizes for
both the 4.6L and 5.4L are 30mm for the exhaust and 37mm for the intake.
The only DOHC engine that uses larger valves is the 5.4L in the Cobra
R. This engine uses 31mm on the exhaust and 38mm on the intake. The additional
surface area of the larger valves will provide your engine with an increase
in airflow. These larger valves are an excellent upgrade for DOHC modular
engines. Whether you opt for the standard size valves or go for the increased
diameter, the superior design and flow characteristics of Manley "Pro
Flow" will give your engine a significant improvement in airflow. |

The
use of Manley valves requires the use of Manley "Bead
Loc" valve locks. Stock retainers do not have the correct groove
or tolerances necessary. The bead locs listed above are 7° locks that
are machined (not stamped) from superior quality alloy. Stock retainers
may be used. Installed height will be stock. These locks come in sets
of 32 . |
